Aloys "Al" Holzer Obituary (1938

Aloys "Al" Holzer, 79, Mandan, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Al was born June 21, 1938, at Strasburg, North Dakota, to Joseph and Katherine (Gefre) Holzer. He was raised and educated in Strasburg and graduated high school in 1957. On June 21, 1980 he and Gussie Fox married. Al was an honest, hardworking man that would help anyone who needed it. His motto was; "if you're going to do something, do it right the first time. He had a good sense of humor, loved to read, and do crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Gussie; three daughters, Dawn (John) Nyberg, Gardner, North Dakota, Trish Harmon, Bismarck, Alicia (Matt) Thompson, Bismarck; one son, Barrie (Connie) Holzer, Winchester, Illinois; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; six brothers, seven sisters and multiple nieces, nephews, and special friends.
