Annetta Ruth Fetterley Obituary (1937

Annetta Fetterley, 77, Mandan, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2015, at her home after a 10 year battle with cancer. In 2005 she had a successful stem cell transplant, then in 2012 she started on various other treatments. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock, South Dakota, with Rev. Floyd Haan officiating. Annetta was born November 23, 1937, to Jake and Amelia (Schoeck) Schmidt. She grew up on a farm 11 miles northeast of Herreid-the youngest of twelve. After high school, she moved to Minneapolis for nine months to work at a bank. She moved back to Herreid where she worked at the Campbell County Bank. On June 21, 1957, she married Gene Fetterley. After one year, they moved to Pollock where she transferred to the Campbell County Bank in Pollock. She retired after working 30 years. Annetta enjoyed playing cards-especially pinochle-gardening, reading, fishing, antiquing, and going to auction sales. She was very detailed and knew when things were not in there right place. Annetta made sure there was plenty of food at every function. She was a wonderful cook and her daughters and grand-daughters would frequently call her for recipes or advice. Annetta was a member of the Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Gene; her daughters, Paula (Dale) Wagner, Watford City, Pam Vander Vorst, Pollock, Patty (Kevin) Kluge, Mandan; one son, Perry (Lisa) Fetterley, Webberville, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Chad) Pudwill, Josh (Gina) Wagner, Jeremy (Kaci) Vander Vorst, Jessica (Tanner) Tanke, Jill (Mike) Gossett, Jenna (fianc Josh) Wagner, Alexandra, Kyle, and Audriana Fetterley; and six great-grandkids.
