Betty Ann Louise Risser

Betty Ann Risser, 82, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, at St. Vincent Care Center, Bismarck. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mandan with Pastor Ryan Wolfe officiating. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Betty was born February 11, 1934, at Valley City, North Dakota, to Franz and Norma (Jackman) Pedersen. She was raised and educated in Valley City. On May 7, 1954 she and Clarence were married in Valley City. Betty worked for the telephone company for 33 years, between; Valley City, Jamestown, Fargo, and Bismarck. She was an avid crafter, especially crocheting, and member of Capital Quilters. Betty gave all that she had to her family and will be missed greatly.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Long; Bismarck daughter-in-law, Donna Risser (Blake) Nicholson, Mandan; two sons, Roy (Cherie), Bismarck, Joel (Lori), Hudson, Florida; sister, Fran Nelson, Bismarck; two brothers, Norman Pedersen, Fargo, North Dakota, Skip (Pat) Pedersen, Valley City; nine grandchildren, Adam, Casey (Miranda), Chandler, Grant Brooke, Courtnie, Aeriel, Riley, Noah; three great-grandchildren, Aysia, Kiara, and Olivia.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; son, Guy Risser; and two great grandsons, Dimitri, and Jeffrey.
