Blakely Leo Voll Obituary (1960 - 2018)

Blakely Leo Voll, 58, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Baptist Home, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 28, 2018, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Rev. Merle Hoots officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan. Blake was born April 25, 1960, at Elgin, North Dakota, to Leo and Frieda (Luithle) Voll. He was raised and educated in Carson, North Dakota and graduated from Bismarck High School. He enjoyed helping out around the family farm and working with the animals. After Blake graduated, he worked for McDonalds, Big Boy, Kmart and Pride Inc, where he met Mable. They enjoyed spending time together and being around family. Blake enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, including dream catchers etc. He loved music, and watching sports, especially football, baseball, and basketball. He knew football statistics of past and current standings. He would even joke around if his team lost or had a bad play. If there was a game on, Blake was watching it! Blake was very independent and enjoyed life up until his health started to fail. He spent the last 7 years at the Baptist Heath Center when the Lord called him home. May he rest in peace. He is survived by five sisters, Beverly (Joe) Schatz, Bismarck, Shirley (Rich) Forish, Collingdale, PA, Melinda Stienmetz, Carson, Melvina (Jeff) Arntz, Baxter, MN, and Janelle (Ron) O'Neill, Woodworth, ND; one brother, Stanley (Cheryl) Voll, Mandan; and many nieces and nephews. Blake was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Natilly Jane O'Neill.
