Carmelia Augustine Davila Obituary (1951

C. Augustine "Augie" Davila, 65, Selfridge, North Dakota, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 22, 2017, in the Community Center, Porcupine, North Dakota. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Augie was born August 9, 1951, at Fort Yates, North Dakota, to Chauncey and Susan (Walker) Bow. She was raised and educated in Fort Yates. Augie graduated from Fort Yates High School, and later from Sitting Bull College. On December 16, 1972, she married Antonio Davila in Englewood, Colorado. Augie was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan. She loved going to powwows, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She had a very engaging personality, and was able to connect with everyone she met. She also loved joking and teasing, and tried to meet as may new people as possible. Her laughter will be dearly missed, and her smile will be forever lasting in our memories. She is survived by two sons, Matthew (Julia) Davila, Buda, Texas, and Daniel (April Pretends Eagle) Carry Moccasin, Cannon Ball; one daughter, Susan Davila, Selfridge; one sister, Joyce Staff, Englewood, Colorado; five grandchildren, Hunter Ironboulder, Kenyon Davila, Payton Davila, Dontae Carry Moccasin, and Hayden Carry Moccasin; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and special friends. Augie was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio; parents; two brothers, Philip Moses Walker and Leon Bow; one sister, Pearl Day; and two infant sisters.
