Cecilia A. Faith Obituary (1951

Cecelia A. Faith, 64, Mandan, formerly of Fort Yates, North Dakota, is at peace after she lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Sanford Health, Bismarck, surrounded by her family. Visitation is scheduled for 3-5:00 PM, with a rosary/vigil service at 5:00 PM, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates, with Fr. John Paul Gardner officiating. Cecelia was born April 3, 1951, at Pineridge, South Dakota, to Perry and Isabelle (LaPointe) Decory. She was raised and educated in Rosebud. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Special Education from Sitting Bull College. Cecelia was currently working at Standing Rock Community School as a special education administrative assistant. She dedicated her life to education for the past 40 years, including the Headstart Program and also volunteered in various school rooms and after school programs. She is survived by two daughters, Charity (James) Red Tomahawk, Bismarck, and Carol (Lee) Pourier, Mandan; three sisters, Amy Rogers, Alta Smith, and Adelle Decory; two brothers, Gordon (Luella) Decory, and Kendal Decory; four grandchildren, Devon Faith, Darek Faith, Jaimee Red Tomahawk, and Owen Pourier; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Willard Decory Sr. and Perry Decory II; and sister, Angie Decory-Jordan.
