Charles John Gilbertson Obituary (1933 - 2012)

Charles John Gilbertson, 79, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, after a long battle with cancer. A private service and burial has taken place. Charles was born September 23, 1933, in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, to Clarence and Carrie (Schlafman) Gilbertson. He entered the army on May 19, 1953, during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged on May 13, 1955. He married Eva Queda in February 1955. He is survived by his wife, Eva; three daughters, Barbara (Cullen) Storsved, Bismarck, Peggy (Jeff) Boese, West Fargo, and June Gilbertson, Bismarck; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Wall and Eileen Schaf, Bismarck; and one brother, Elmer (Myrna) Gilbertson, Colorado.
