Christopher Leonard Scott

Christopher Scott, 85, Bismarck, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Sanford, Bismarck. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Augusta Place Chapel (formerly Good Samaritan Nursing Home). Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Christopher was born January 4, 1933, at Marshall, Missouri, to Charles and Theodotia (Fitzsimmons) Scott. He studied horticulture before joining the US Navy. He was discharged honorably in 1953. In his younger days, he enjoyed spelunking and riding his motorcycle and he always enjoyed trying different and exotic foods.

He is survived by his wife, LaVonne Kurtz-Scott, Bismarck; two step-daughters, Dawn (Roger) Rostvet and Melody (Jake) Irvin, both of Bismarck; two step-sons, Corey Kurtz, Bismarck, and Joel Kurtz, Mandan; and step-son-in-law, Dean Bohn, Mandan; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Christopher was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Kim Kurtz-Bohn.
