Colt Tyler Jordan Obituary (1988

Colt Jordan, 26, Fort Yates, North Dakota, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, at IHS Hospital, Fort Yates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 6, 2014, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates with Rev. Basil Atwell, officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 AM, until time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Fort Yates. Colt was born May 29, 1988, at Bismarck, to Grady and Charlene (Twinn) Jordan. He was raised and educated in Fort Yates, and graduated from Standing Rock High School in 2007. He was raised by his grandma until he graduated. In high school he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He also enjoyed watching sports. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers, Duke Blue Devils, and the New England Patriots. He adored watching his little sister play basketball. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his niece, Kiara; nephew, LeRoy; and godparent, Barry Jordan, and playing X-box and joking around with his uncle John. He enjoyed listening to powwow music, attending powwows, joking around with family and friends. His favorite drum group was "Bad Nation". He was a porter at Prairie Knights Casino. He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Jeanette Jordan, Wilfred Red Tomahawk, Marcella and Donald Twinn; sister, Bridgette Jordan; niece, Kiara Jordan; nephew, LeRoy Jordan; aunts, Susan Twinn, Donna Twinn; and uncles, Barry Jordan, and John Jordan. Colt was preceded in death by his brother, LeRoy F. Jordan II; grandpa, LeRoy F. Jordan.
