Delmer "DJ" "Dora" Ponga Jr., 28, Cannon Ball, North Dakota, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 27, 2015, in the Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball, with Revs. Evans and Ione Elk officiating. A wake service begins at 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 26, 2015, also in the Youth Activity Center. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Cannon Ball. Delmer was born September 26, 1986, at Bismarck, North Dakota, to Delmar and Corstella (Two Horses) Ponga. He was raised and educated in Bismarck, where he attended United Tribes grade school, Wachter Junior High, and Bismarck High School. He enjoyed traveling, fixing and detailing cars, playing Xbox games, watching movies, hanging out with friends and "Punchies" (Kadarce, Karob, and Kee Bates) listening to music, and his cat RiRi. He also loved going to concerts, especially his favorite artist. Rihanna in New York City. He is survived by two sisters, Dalette Red Stone and Venita (Jenilee Silk) Ponga; adopted sister, Stephanie (Jesse) Black Cloud; one brother Darien (Cindy Siebel) Red Stone; adopted brother, Isadore Eagleboy, all of Cannon Ball; aunts, Valinda Two Horses, Corrine stretches, and Diane Ponga; his favorite nephew, Darrell White Lightning; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Delmer was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Corstella Ponga; sister, Rochelle Red Stone; brother, Vern Ponga; cousin Kyle Two Horses; grandparents, Joseph and Irene Left Bear, Henry Ponga, Gertrude Iron Road; uncles, Gene Ponga and Delbert Two Horses; niece, baby Angel Rose Red Stone, and nephew, baby Dalton Black Cloud.
