Dennis Hopfauf

Dennis Martin Hopfauf, 50, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Sanford off Collins, Mandan, surrounded by his family after a two year battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Church of the Ascension, Bismarck with Rev. Msgr. James Braaten officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 5-7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014, with a prayer/vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan. Dennis was born August 20, 1963, at Bismarck, to Donald and Loretta (Thomas) Hopfauf. He was raised and educated in Bismarck, and graduated from Bismarck High School. For the majority of his life, Dennis worked in the hospitality industry in Bismarck, Dallas Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona. He returned to Bismarck and worked for Fabricators Unlimited. He loved to ride his Harley, fish, play golf, and bowl. He is survived by his parents Donald and Loretta Hopfauf; four brothers, Duane Hopfauf, Ronald (Lori) Hopfauf, all of Bismarck, Randy Hopfauf, Mandan, and Daniel (Tanya) Hopfauf, Bismarck; seven nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by all his grandparents; two aunts; and one uncle.
