Diane April Deveraux

Diane Ramey-Deveraux, 43, Fort Yates, North Dakota, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at IHS Hospital, Fort Yates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 26, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates, with Brother George Maufort officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Fort Yates.

Diane was born to David and Iris (Standing Soldier) Ramey Sr. in Shannon, Nebraska on May 29, 1972. She grew in up in Fort Yates, where she graduated from Fort Yates District Public School in 1991. Later she attended Sitting Bull College and United Tribes Technical College. Diane worked at the Burger Queen, and Missouri Drift Inn, Fort Yates, A\u0026W Restaurant in Bismarck, and Prairie Knights Casino. Besides working, she enjoyed going out to eat, going to movies, and spending time with her children, family and friends. She also enjoyed taking her kids to the park and going for walks. Diane was a kind-hearted and generous woman. She enjoyed going to church and was baptized at St. Peters Catholic Church in Fort Yates.

She is survived by her mother Iris (Standing Soldier) Ramey, three daughters, Saphire Ramey-See Walker, Bismarck, Francine Deveraux, and Winter Deveraux, both of Fort Yates; five sisters, Barbara Little Owl, Daverine (Jody) Honeyman, Janice Ramey (Loren White Temple), Alma Ramey (Bob Martinson), Lisa Ramey-Jones; two brothers, William Ramey, David Ramey Jr.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, David Ramey Sr. her grandfather Aaron Ramey, grandmother Alma (Nagel) Ramey, uncles, Donald Ramey, Theodore and Mary (Standing Soldier) Kills Crow, Quinton Kills Crow; and her two aunties, Ernestine Kills Crow and Julie Seda.
