Donavan F Semmel Obituary (1957 - 2016)

Donavan F. Semmel, 58, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donavan was born December 5, 1957, in Bismarck, to Adolph and Helga (Westerlind) Semmel. He was graduated from Bismarck High School and attended the North Dakota School of Science, Wahpeton. Over the years, he worked for Tiremart, Dakota Music, A1 Tree Service, and various other jobs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors with his dog, going to the casino, but especially spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his significant other, Kelly Blaeser, Bismarck; two sisters, Darla Fetting, Mount Vernon, Washington, and Deeann Semmel, Minneapolis, Minnesota; brother Gary Semmel, Bismarck; half-brother, Lewis Semmel, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Donavan was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Steven Fetting; and many aunts and uncles.
