Duane "Dewey" White Cloud Obituary (1953

Duane White Cloud, 61, Fort Yates, North Dakota, died, Sunday, May 24, 2015, in Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, South Dakota. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 28, 2015, in the AJ Agard Memorial Building, Fort Yates with The Rev. Canon John Floberg officiating. \t Duane was born July 20, 1953, at Shields, North Dakota, to Weslie and Ferdelia (White Cloud) Shell Track. He was raised and educated in Fort Yates and Williston, North Dakota, and Flandreau and Pierre, South Dakota. He served in the US Marines for ten years. Duane was easy to get along with and made friends all over. He enjoyed playing darts and pool, going to powwows, the casino, and traveling. He is survived by two daughters, Leslie White Cloud, and Skylynn White Cloud; one sister, Linda Shell Track; one brother, William Many Wounds, all of Fort Yates; one grandchild, Jaysten White Cloud; and three nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Anthony White Cloud; nephews, Gary Formanek and Anthony Waseskuk Jr.
