DuWayne Delbert Lottes Obituary (1932 - 2016)

DuWayne Delbert Lottes, 84, Craig Colorado, formally of New Salem, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, in Craig Colorado. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 16, 2016, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan, with Rev. Joshua Eddy officiating. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. DuWayne was born April 21, 1932, at New Salem, to John and Lizzie (Zarndt) Lottes. He was raised and educated in New Salem, where he graduated from high school in 1950. On May 25, 1958, he married Laverne Schwinkendorf in New Salem. DuWayne worked as a truck driver for M \u0026 M Coop Transport for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Laverne, Craig, Colorado; two daughters, Kim (Richard) Thompson, Craig, Colorado, and Cindy (Tim) Tilton, Steamboat Springs, Colorado; one son, John (Sue) Lottes, Steamboat Springs, Colorado; five grandchildren, Derrick (Kaylee) Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Shilo, Saige, and Jordyn Lottes; and three great-grandchildren, Riley Thompson, and Kye and Dax Thompson. DuWayne was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gertrude Lottes, Doris Bumann, Irene Kaelberer, and Ruth Klusmann.
