Eloise Elaine Klose Obituary (1940 - 2019)

Eloise Elaine Klose, 78, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, surrounded by her family who loved her tremendously. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Eloise was born December 16, 1940 in Jamestown, ND. She was the daughter of Vern and Irene Hoggarth and grew up on the family farm in Kensal, ND with her 10 brothers and sisters. Eloise married the love of her life, Lyle Klose on December 31, 1960. Their family grew with the birth of their first daughter, Roxanne Klose (Bruce Pollington), Great Falls, MT, followed by Robyn Sorensen (Scot), Bismarck, ND, Rebecca Coleman (Alan), Dayton, MN and Roberta Gudmundson (John), O'Fallon, MO. The family lived in Jamestown, ND where Eloise worked in the clerical profession for many years. In 1994 Eloise pursued a career selling AFLAC insurance in western North Dakota, settling in Bismarck. She excelled in the field, earning multiple awards including top producer in both North and South Dakota for multiple years. Her clients were very important to her, she considered them more than just a client. It was not unusual for Eloise to take a call from a client at 5am or 10:30pm to help them file a claim or to be a source of comfort. Family was most important to Eloise, she was happiest when her girls and their families were all together. She was the best mom, grandma, baba, and nana to her daughters and her grandchildren. Her friends, sisters and brothers held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She will be greatly missed. Eloise is survived by her husband, her four daughter and their spouses. Her grandchildren, Erika Sorensen, Fargo, ND, Paul Sorensen (Brittany Schulz), Bismarck, ND, Lauren Land, Dayton, MN, William Coleman, Dayton, MN, Madeline Gudmundson, O'Fallon, MO and Jack Gudmundson, O'Fallon, MO. Her brothers and sisters: DeVerne (Margaret) Hoggarth, Darwin (Shirley) Hoggarth, Cleon (Shirley) Hoggarth, Russell (Barb) Hoggarth, Roger (Diane) Hoggarth, Odis Hoggarth, Ramona (Robert) Pederson, Clinton (Angela) Hoggarth, Vernon (Renae) Hoggarth, and Fay (Dave) Falk, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Gertrude (McDaniel) Hoggarth, her dad, Vern Hoggarth, and her mom, Irene (Kramer) Hoggarth, The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials in Eloise's name be made to Camp Grassick (Dawson, ND).
