Errol Thayne Howe Obituary (1950 - 2011)

Errol Thayne Howe, 61, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Kindred Hospital, Mandan. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Rev. Roger Will officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary\u0027s Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will is scheduled two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Errol was born in Bismarck on June 1, 1950, to William and Eloise (Pfeifer) Howe. He attended Roosevelt Grade School, Hugh\u0027s Junior High School, and graduated from Bismarck High School, where he was a member of the Demons Wrestling Team. Shortly after high school, he and a friend moved to Kodiak, Alaska where he lived and worked until returning to North Dakota in 1988. Errol was very talented and it seemed that he could do anything that he set his mind to do. He had a green thumb and could make anything grow. He made beautiful woodwork and art of almost any kind. He was also mechanically inclined and could make any engine purr like a kitten. He is survived by his mother, Eloise L. Howe; brother Frank L. Howe and family, all of Bismarck, brother Rodney M. Howe and family, Wilton; sister, Vicki Howe Skoog, St. Paul, Minnesota; dear aunts, Eileen Pfeifer Singleton and husband Tommy, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Shirley Pfeifer Horn and family, Gaston, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Errol was preceded in death by his father William E. \u0027"Bill\u0027 Howe; grandparents, Frank E. and Sadie Howe, John E. \u0027"Jack\u0027 and Grace A. Pfeifer; two brothers, William E. Jr. \u0027"Billie\u0027 Howe and John E. (Jackie) Howe; sister, Gayle Lynn Howe Davis; and special uncle, Grant L. Howe.
