Forrest B Eberl Obituary (1929

Forrest B. Eberl, 90, Dawson, North Dakota, passed away July 1, 2020 at a Bismarck Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Dawson Lutheran Church, located in the Dawson City Hall, with Rev. Jacob DeBoer officiating. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Dawson City Cemetery, Dawson. Forrest was born November 17, 1929, in Bismarck, to William and Martha (Johnson) Eberl. He was raised and educated in Vernon Country School and Dawson Public. On September 18, 1949, he married Lucille Swenning in Jamestown. Forrest farmed and ranched on the homestead where he and Lucille raised seven children. He served on the township board and was the assessor for many years. He was active in 7th Calvary re-enactments, enjoyed going to town every Saturday night, square dancing, and fished and hunted all his life. He is survived by one daughter, Gail Sayler (Wayne Kamoni), Lake Williams, North Dakota; five sons, Gary (Susan) Eberl, Dawson, Craig (Pam) Eberl, Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Wayne Eberl, Dawson, Clint (Robin) Eberl, Jamestown, and Patrick (Nancy) Eberl, Atoka, Oklahoma; one brother, Richard (Ann) Eberl, Harlem, Georgia; grandchildren, Dean, Steven (Stacy), Derek (Ashtyn), Adrienne (Bryan), Derryck (Jenna), Owen, Corey, Travis (Danielle), and Scott (Jen); and 11 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Blake, Nolan, Gracie, Nicholas, Corey Jr., Riley, Gavin, Kellen, Caitlyn, and Clara; and one great-great-grandson, Blake. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Malaine Eberl and grandson, Shawn Eberl.
