Hadley Seeklander Obituary (1928

Hadley "Had" Seeklander, 90, Hazelton, North Dakota, died December 13, 2018, in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hazelton, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 10:00 AM, with visitation at the church starting one-hour prior. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck at 2:30 PM. Hadley was born March 28, 1928, to Oscar and Emma (Seek) Seeklander of Hazelton, ND. Hadley married Verda Ohlhauser on March 31, 1950. They lived in the Hazelton community and had four children. Hadley was a "people person." He always had a smile to give. His favorite greeting when asked how he was was "Great, and getting better!" Throughout his life he was a farmer, a salesman, and finally, a Representative for Lions International where his personality and hard work earned him numerous awards. After retiring from the Lions, Hadley spent his time puttering around the yard and working outside. We feel blessed to have shared his life and will miss his wit, honor and integrity but we know he's sharing his stories with Jesus in heaven. Hadley is survived by his wife, Verda; three sons, Barry (Jannet), Buhl, ID; Jerry (Joan), Bismarck, ND; Scott, Milton Freewater, OR; daughter Linda (Jeff ) Kroeger, Beaver Dam, WI; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Sukut, Inverness, FL and Verlyn (Lew) White, Canyon Country, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gerald. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, the Lions Eye Bank of North Dakota, 200 E Main Ave, Bismarck, or a charity of the donor's choice.
