Hayden King Miner Obituary (2012

Hayden King Miner, 2 1/2 months, Fort Yates, North Dakota, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, at IHS Hospital, Fort Yates. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 26, 2012, in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates with Brother George Maufort officiating. A wake begins at 6:00 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2012, in the A.J. Agard Memorial Building. Burial will be in Red Hail Cemetery, Brien, North Dakota. Hayden was born September 2, 2012, at Bismarck, to Hoksila Miner and Jennifer Summers. He was a happy strong baby who could hold his head up at two weeks old. He loved smiling, baby talking, and making baby movements. For comfort, he always fell asleep every night on his mother's chest, just knowing she was there. He always wanted to be with mother and father. I could understand why God wanted you close to him, you were truly and Angel on earth. God looked down and saw his angel without his wings. He knew there was a piece missing. He told his angel not to be afraid, but come with me. He said you were always a beautiful angel but not without your wings he grabbed him by his hand and he told him you're coming home and never be alone, but forever live in eternity. Together they walked away into the golden beaming light. We Love you Son Hayden King with all our hearts and miss you dearly. Love, Mommy and Daddy. He is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Jolene Big Shield, Fort Yates, Wilson and Adeline Big Shield, Juneau, Alaska, LeRoy Big Shield, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Juanita Miner, Pine Ridge South Dakota, Delmar Miner Sr., Fort Yates; and one sister, Sunshine Miner; aunts, Annie Miner, Rapid City, South Dakota, Farrah Miner, Rosebud, South Dakota; Melanie (Brian White Twinn) Summers, uncles, Delmar Miner Jr., Camp Pendleton, California, Nicholas Otter Robe and Derek Standing Crow, both of Pine Ridge South Dakota, Cy Miner, LaPlante, South Dakota, Lance Summers, Ryan Summers and Keenan Big Shield, all of Fort Yates; cousins, Kendall and Brayden Summers, Brianna White Twinn, Hoksila Joshua, Chase Summers, Jasmine Pleets, Sandra Big Shield and children, Anchorage, Alaska, Shauntae Miner, Trey Thomas Standing Crow, DeAundre, Iesha, Nick Jr., Jeremiah, Joseph, and Terrance Morrison. Hayden was preceded in death by his sister, Savannah Dreams Big Shield in 2008. Savannah was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Zachery Big Shield Jr., great-grandfathers, Zachary Big Shield Sr., grandmothers, Leona Big Shield and Emily Gayton Big Shield; great-grandmothers, Wilma Summers and Margaret Big Shield; and aunties, Karen Big Shield and Roxanne Demarriss; great-grandparents, Fern and Whitney Standing Crow, Delano Miner Sr. and Shirley Kidder.
