Henrietta A. Twinn Obituary (1962 - 2016)

Henrietta A. Twinn, 53, Fort Yates, North Dakota, died, Friday, January 1, 2016, at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. A Christian Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 8, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 PM, with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:30 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2016, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Fort Yates. Henrietta was born December 29, 1962, at Fort Yates, to Rufus and Sharon (Twinn) Kidder. She was raised and educated in Fort Yates, and graduated in 1981 from Standing Rock High School. Henrietta went on to attend UTTC in Bismarck, and graduated in 1984 with a degree in Culinary Arts. She worked at Prairie Knights Casino as a porter, for Flickertail paving company as a flagger, and BIA Corrections as a cook. Her hobbies included watching her grandchildren and cooking. She was very kind-hearted and generous-helping anyone who needed it. Henrietta loved making oven bread for her family which meant everything to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Mervin Littledog; three daughters, Codi Iron Shield, Samantha Holy Elk Face, and Sunny McKay Kidder, four sons, Myron Iron Shield, Chad Iron Shield, Shane Twinn, and Michael Baker, all of Fort Yates; two brothers, Ronald Kidder and Ronald Starr; five sisters, Lillian Kidder, Vernell Kidder, Sheryl Kidder, Belinda Bruce, and Rita Paz, all of Fort Yates; grandchildren, Lucas Iron Shield, Aiyana Iron Shield, Keighana Iron Shield, Sophia Iron Shield, Leondre Twinn, Zane Iron Shield, Damien Twinn, Davahn Holy Elk Face, Riley See Walker, Aurora See Walker, and Lawrencia Pleets. Henrietta was preceded in death by her first husband, Myron Iron Shield; parents; one brother, Pernell Kidder; and two daughters, Tina Iron Shield and Audrey Iron Shield.
