Ille Leier Obituary (1947 - 2017) - Mandan, North Dakota

Ille Leier passed away at home with family at her side and started her new journey on June 29, 2017, after her courageous battle with ALS. There will be a Celebration of Life from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the Bismarck Elks Club. Ille was born to Horst and Klara Burgheim on Jan. 22, 1947, in Kassel, Germany. She met husband Mike in 1963 while he was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. They married and moved to the United States in 1966 and settled in Bismarck in 1972. Ille and Mike opened the Country Barn in 1987 and continue to operate the store as Classic Design. She is survived by husband, Mike; her sons and their spouses, Mike Jr. (Lori), Andy (Rachel), and Kevin (Kari); and her grandchildren, Jacob, Jon, Kaitlin, Madelyn and Josh. Ille was preceded by her parents, Horst and Klara.
