Iona M. Birkbeck Obituary (1924

Iona M. Birkbeck, 94, Mandan, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2019, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services with Rev. Dale Nabben officiating. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Iona was born September 25, 1924 at Minnesota. She was adopted and raised by Wayne and Myra Cummings. She was raised and educated in Washburn, Baldwin and Lake of the Woods, Minnesota areas. She married George Birkbeck and had four children. She loved to garden, canning, puzzles and playing games with family and friends. She is survived by son, John (Carla) Mandan; four grandchildren, Scott (Sarah) Birkbeck, Becky (Brandon) Bates, Angie Birkbeck and Barbara Hoffman; and seven great-grandchildren. Iona was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Charles and Robert; and daughter, Rosemary Birkbeck
