Ione A. Wendt Obituary (1923

Ione A. Wendt, 97, Mandan, went to her heavenly home on January 19, 2021, at a Mandan Care Center. A private family service will be held later at her burial site in South Dakota. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Ione was born March 24, 1923 near Britton, South Dakota to Purl and Elizabeth (Hares) Hinman. She was raised and education in Britton. Ione married Fred Wendt in September 1951. Fred passed away in December 2004. Ione enjoyed reading, her favorite game shows and visiting with company especially her nieces and nephews. Ione always had a smile. She is survived by her sister-in-law Lois Hinman, her grandchildren and great grandchildren in California, and many nieces and nephews. Ione was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; son, Donald Anderson; Stepson, Freddie Wendt; Siblings, Mason "Mick" Hinman, Beatrice Engelhart, Lester "Pete" Hinman, Ralph Hinman, and Charles Hinman.
