J. John Christopherson

J. John Christopherson, 49, Mandan, ND, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 17, 2021, at DaWise-Perry/Mandan Crematory (4211 Old Red Trail), Mandan, with Rev. Bruce Adams officiating. Visitation will be from one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

John Christopherson was born July 4, 1971, at Rollette, North Dakota, to Jessie and Karla (Laducer) Christopherson. He was raised and educated in Cando, ND. On July 24, 1992, he married Jodi Grosz in Minot, ND.

He had a love/hate relationship with darts (mostly love) and gained many friends throughout his 28 years of playing. He also loved that his children liked to play darts and got to spend time with both of them at the state dart tournament in Bismarck this past March. He also enjoyed to fish with his wife and hunt with his son and brothers and spending time with his grandson. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Jodi Christopherson; daughter, Brianna (Josh) Verkiak; son, Cameron (fianc Krista Sauber); grandson, Joshua Verkaik Jr.; mother, Karla Christopherson; sister, Cassie (Ken) Odden; bothers, Mike Christopherson (fianc Kelly), David Nelson (fianc Ashley), Daniel Warner, Daniel Faine, Jesse (Shannon) Faine, Mitchell Christopherson, and Chris (Amanda) Christopherson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Junior Christopherson; grandparents, Esther Klier and Lawrence and Mabel Christopherson; and many aunts and uncles.
