Jarrett James Two Bear Obituary (1988 - 2013)

JARRETT TWO BEAR, 24, Fort Yates, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at a Bismarck Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2013, in the Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball, North Dakota, with Rev. Cannon John Floberg, officiating. A wake service begins at 5:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2013, also in the Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Cannon Ball. Jarrett was born May 28, 1988, at Fort Yates, North Dakota, to Joe Two Bear and Anita Summers. He was raised and educated in Fort Yates and Cannon Ball, and graduated in Marty Indian School, Marty, South Dakota, in 2008. Following high school he attended the Kicking Horse Job Corp in Ronan, Montana, where he received a heavy equipment operator certificate. He worked as a porter at the Prairie Knights Casino, Fort Yates and a cook at the Royal River Casino, Flandreau, South Dakota. Jarrett liked to listen to music and dance. He also enjoyed pitching horse shoes. He loved his family and friends, but especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by father Joe Two Bear and step-mother, Susan White Eagle; sister, Alecia Two Bear (Corey Lewis); brothers, Christopher (Nicole) Two Bear, Fort Yates, Thomas (Jeni White Lightning) Two Bear, Brent Summers, both of Cannon Ball, Paul Summers, Selfridge, Vanh White Eagle, Fort Yates; grandfather, Neil Two Bears; grandma, Belva Frank; numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; special niece, Bella White Eagle; adopted sister, Chelsea Summers; and special friend, Leah Hare. Jarrett was preceded in death by his mother, Anita; sister, Emmy Two Bears; grandparents, Milton (Wilma) Summers, Monica One Horn; uncles, Kenny Summers, Collin Summers, Leonard Charger, and Cecil American Horse; aunt, Charlene Summers; cousin, Royce Iron Hawk; and many other relatives.
