Joann Faye Zimmerman, 60, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 21, 2017, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Rev. Larry Giese officiating. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan. Joann was born April 1, 1957, in Elgin, North Dakota, to Harris and Laura (Bellon) Morey. She was raised and educated in Elgin. Joann worked as a CNA/CMA for many years in Elgin at Jacobson Memorial Hospital, Dakota Hills Housing, and Grant County Home Health. She recently worked at Kidz Clubhouse. In June 2004, she married Dean Zimmerman. Joann enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, and making homemade gifts. She loved her family and playing with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband, Dean; mother, Laura, Bismarck; three daughters, Jamie (Dusty) Hochhalter, Elgin, Jessica (Rick) Wald, Bismarck, and Tammy Dicello, Columbia Falls, Montana; two sons, Joe Deitz, Lamoure, North Dakota, and Kenny (Michaela) Deitz, Watford City, North Dakota; three sisters, Beverly (Leon) Ham, Eskanaba, Michigan, Marie (Myron) Kroh, Lincoln, North Dakota, Cindy (Bruce) Jasperson, Garland, Texas; one brother, James (Royetta) Morey, Elgin; mother and father-in-law, Mel and Loretta Zimmerman; eight grandchildren, Dalton, Dylan, HayLee, Weston, Austin, Makena, Shane, and Zoey.
