Jody Cadotte

Jody Lynn Cadotte, 56, of Mandan, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2025, at DaWise-Perry/Mandan Crematory. Family and friends will gather one hour prior. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Cremation has taken place.

Jody Lynn Cadotte was born in Fort Yates, ND on August 9, 1969 to Nickolas Cadotte and Carol Dunn.

Jody Spent his first years in Aberdeen, SD, then moved to Fort Yates, ND with his mother Carol and brother Curtis and attended Standing Rock Elementary and High School.

Jody graduated Standing Rock High School in 1988, then immediately joined The United States Army. He was a patriot missal operator and stationed in Germany for 3 years, then went to Israel, then Saudi Arabia. He was honorably discharged from the Army after serving for 6 years and 7 months.

Jody married Sherry Slater on March 11th 2005 and together they lived in Bismarck, ND until her death in 2021, then he moved in with his brother in Mandan where he resided until his death.

Jody is survived by his mother Carol Dunn, Fort Yates, ND; his brother Curtis Cadotte, Mandan, ND; his half sister Nikki Cadotte, Sisseton, SD; his step sister Davita Dunn, Belcourt, ND; and all of his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Nickolas Cadotte, paternal grandparents Raymond and Melda Cadotte, and maternal grandparents Carl and Alice Ducheneaux, Stepfather David Dunn.
