Joyce Marie Osterlund

Joyce Marie Osterlund, 66, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with Fr. Thomas Grafsgaard officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 5-7:00 PM, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Joyce was born May 14, 1951, in Bismarck, to Michael and Ruby (Anderson) Schepper. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in 1969. She married Michael Osterlund on June 22, 1979. Joyce worked for Super Valu Warehouse for 18 years in data processing. She was active in Special Olympics and an avid supporter of her two children who participated.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Ruby Schepper; her daughter, Jenna Osterlund; her son Stephen Osterlund, all of Bismarck; three sisters, Patricia Tonder, Traverse City, Michigan, Colleen Bredahl, and Bernadette (Neal) Houser, all of Bismarck; two brothers, John Schepper, Ted (Laurie) Schepper, Redmond, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Courtney Cunningham.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; and brothers-in-law, Bob Tonder and Jerry Bredahl.
