Kevin Charles Jackson

Kevin Charles Jackson, 62, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at CHI St. Alexius, Bismarck. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan, with Rev. Dale Nabben officiating. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. As per Kevin's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Kevin was born October 12, 1954, at Centerville, Iowa, to Oran and Gwen (Proctor) Jackson. He was raised and educated in Brookfield, Missouri, where he graduated from high school in 1972. Kevin worked as an engineer for BNSF for almost 43 years. On June 11, 2005, he married Beverly (Heilman) Mattern in Henrico County, Virginia. Kevin loved to take cruises and travel with his best companion, Bev.

He is survived by his wife, Bev; four daughters, Kristin Jackson, Kellie (Steve) Frieze, Kari (Jeff) Wunsch, and Kora Jackson; five stepsons, Jason (Raylene) Mattern, Curtis (DeAnn) Mattern, Kevin (Tina) Mattern, Travis Mattern, and Justin Mattern; and several grandchildren and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Erin Spradling; and brother, Brian Jackson.
