Lyle B. Warner Obituary (1947 - 2019)

Lyle B. Warner, 71, Mandan, North Dakota, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Sanford Health, Bismarck from cancer. Inurnment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan at 2:00 PM, February 1. Following the inurnment, the family is holding a reception at the Mandan Moose. Lyle was born May 4, 1947, at Ten Sleep, Wyoming, to Clifford and Dicy (Leithead) Warner. Lyle was an agriculture educator for 35 years and continued with online education for years into his retirement. He was active with Hampshire and Rambouillet industries for decades in North Dakota and nationwide. As a member of the State Board of Agricultural Research and Education, he continued to contribute to agriculture education in his retirement. He was honored for his contributions to agriculture and education by ND Lamb and Wool, NDSU Saddle and Sirloin, NDSCS and others. Lyle served our country in the Navy and served two tours in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, children, Kevin (Lisa) and Kari (Brian), grandchildren Clayton, Anika, Kaylena and Tully, brothers Jim (Debbie), Melvin (Patricia) and Nevin (Jane), and his loyal companion Tess.
