Marian Helen Hoff Obituary (1947

Marian Hoff, 66, Mandan, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Sanford Health on Sunset, Mandan. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at First Lutheran Church, Mandan with Revs. Jack Carlson and Walter Schatt, officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation is scheduled for 5-7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church. Marian was born August 16, 1947, at Bismarck, to Sulo and Magdalena (Neff) Eckholm. She was raised and educated in Wing, Mandan, and Bismarck. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1965. On October 25, 1969, in Mandan, she married Raymond Hoff. She worked for over 30 years at Hardees in Mandan. She loved to collect various memorabilia including, wolves and Elvis. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and especially with her special granddaughter, Maggie. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Mandan. Marian is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ray, Mandan; daughter, Renee (Ali) Alazawi, Bismarck; son-in-law, Phil Summa; brothers, Eugene Eckholm, Donald (Sandy) Eckholm, all of Mandan; mother-in-law, Lula Hoff, Steele, ND; sisters-in-law, Rose Albrecht, Karen (Garrie) Auch; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Diane Freidt. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Michelle Summa; father-in-law, Reinhold Hoff; sister-in-law, Jan Eckholm; brother-in-law, Albert Albrecht.
