Nathaniel B Iron Road Obituary (1973

Nathaniel Iron Road, 46, Cannon Ball, passed away December 14, 2019, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball with Rev. Weyland American Horse officiating. Burial will be in the American Horse Family Cemetery. A Wake begins at 5:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2019, at the Youth Activity Center. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the Youth Activity Center. Nathaniel was born September 15, 1973, at Fort Yates, to Perry Iron Road and Alice Lester. He was raised and educated in the Cannon Ball area and attended Solen High School. Before his death he was a DJ at KLND radio in Little Eagle, SD. He also had worked at the Prairie Knights Casino. He enjoyed playing basketball, making Native American crafts and was willing to help his friends and family when possible. People thought he had a soothing voice as a DJ. He was loved by most everyone and will be deeply missed by all his survivors. He is survived by his mother, Alice Lester; siblings, Tony Iron Road, Rebecca Iron Road, Lisa (Rusty) Kraft, Geraldine DuMarce (Brandon Feather); children, Nateya, Tina, Perri, Serena, Jaston, Trinity, Tyler, Joshua, Michael, and Rowena; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his first wife, Laverne Iron (Fox) Road, father; grandmothers, Mary Stretches and Serena Marshall; grandfathers, Asa Lester Sr., and Albert Iron Road; and special niece Alice Mae "Ally" Iron Road.
