Philip Raymond Keesey Obituary (1935 - 2017)

Philip Raymond Keesey, 81, Mandan, North Dakota, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, at his home. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 26, 2017, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, North Dakota. A light luncheon will follow the graveside service from noon to 2:00 PM, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Gorilla Foundation (koko.org). Phil was born July 24, 1935, to Edward and Louise (Madeline Mooney) Keesey in Bangor, Maine, where he was raised and educated. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy. He transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1960, serving until his retirement in 1981. He married his lifelong sweetheart, Beverley Jordan, on September 8, 1962, in Castine, Maine. Philip enjoyed playing golf, reading, good beer, fine scotch, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Bev; two daughters, Pam Keesey (Andra Dare), Seattle, Washington, and Noreen Keesey, Bismarck; two grandchildren, Michael Anderson, and Meagan Waldbillig; nephew, David (John); and niece Lesley (Kurtis). He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Keesey; and sister, Linda Keesey.
