Polly Ann Fischer Obituary (1933 - 2018)

Polly Ann Fischer, 85, Washburn, North Dakota, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Polly was born February 5, 1933, at Linton, North Dakota, to Charles and Sara (Job) Triggs. She was raised and educated in Steele, where she graduated from high school. She attended Bismarck Junior College. On June 15, 1951, she married Wilmer Fischer in Steele. Polly worked for Dr. Samuelson. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She also loved to read. She is survived by her husband, Wilmer; one daughter, Sandra (Dean) Swanson, Washburn; five sons, Lee (Liane), Buffalo, North Dakota, Bill, Arlington, Texas, Paul (Sandy Kay), Mandan, Mark (JoAnn), Mandan, and Carl, Bonner Springs, Kansas; one sister, Dora Moyer, Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren, Lindsay Fischer, Whitley Fischer, Taylor Fischer, Paul Swanson, and Tim Swanson; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friend of the family, Truong Nguyen. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, LeRoy and Marvin Triggs; and one sister, Leona Schmidt.
