SALLY FAYE SEE THE ELK, 35, Fort Yates, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 9, 2014, in the A.J. Agard Memorial Building, Fort Yates with Gary Kidder officiating. Burial will be in the Kidder Family Cemetery, Fort Yates. Sally was born October 21, 1978, at Fort Yates, to Joseph and Gwen (Village Center) See the Elk. She graduated from Standing Rock High School and earned her AA and BS Degrees at Sitting Bull College. She worked at Prairie Knights Casino and during the summer she worked in construction. Sally enjoyed the internet, Facebook, playing pool and darts, visiting with friends, celebrating her birthday, and dancing at powwows. She is survived by her mother, Gwen Village Center; three daughters, Natessa, Xandriah, and Fayemarie Martin; one son, Wallace See the Elk, all of Fort Yates; four brothers, Joe Erickson, Billings, Montana, Anthony Lewis, Corey Lewis, and Paul Bear Ribs, all of Fort Yates; grandmother, Joann Kidder Red Fish; aunts, Judy Village Center, Nancy Glenn, Carla (Lionel) Jewett, Denise (Curtis) McKay, Loretta Kidder, uncles, B.J. (Wilma) Kidder, Fort Hall, Idaho, Gary (Carol) Kidder, Fort Yates, Michael Kidder, Felix Kidder Jr., all of Fort Yates, Carl (Nan) Kidder, Spokane, Washington, cousins, Vicki, Leaf, Vance, Claude IV, Chantelle, Hunter, and Sage Giroux, Scott Ell, Seneca, Pierre, and Preston Village Center, and Thomas LaFromboise, nieces and nephews, Tanielle, Tamarik, Cortney, Samuel, Ohitika, Waniyeka, Ojan Ojan, Jaylin, Chance, and Aries, and other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Sally was preceded in death by her father, Joe See the Elk Jr.; grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy See the Elk, and Felix and Isabelle Kidder, Carl Village Center; aunts, Debbie Middle Tent and Alice Giroux; and uncles, Elmer, Robert, and Michael See the Elk.
