Sherry Ell Obituary (1954 - 2025) - Bismarck, North Dakota

Sherry Dee Ell, 70, Bismarck, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 5, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. Sherry was born October 30, 1954, in Harvey, ND, to Clifford and Pearl (Davenport) Oswald. She was raised in Wing, ND. She was one of eight children. She lived in Wing with her family until they moved to Bismarck, ND in October of ‘67. Sherry met the love of her life through mutual friends, they got married in Mandan, ND August 21, 1970. Shortly after that they welcomed their first son of five. Sherry worked in the food service industry for over 28 years. You could find her watching her Chicago Bulls or Days of Our Lives while sipping on a Coke. If you knew Sherry, you knew that she was very crafty. She had a green thumb as she always had a jungle of plants, flowers and even a garden or two. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. You would know that if you saw her house around the holidays. But more than anything else she loved her family. She is survived by her husband Robert Ell Sr.; her oldest son Robert Ell Jr.(Kris, Caitlyn, Shelby); her middle son Monte Ell (Samantha, Dylan, Armani); and her youngest son Ryan Ell (Stephanie, Sady, Kaden, Marcus, Winnie); her siblings Arnie (Helen), Diane, Larry (Connie), Marlene (Dennis), Terry (Linda), Randy, Becky (Sam), and many nieces and nephews. Sherry was preceded in death by her sons Jason and Derrick Ell, her mother Pearl (Davenport) Oswald, and her father Clifford Oswald Sr. “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” (Days of Our Lives) In lieu of flowers her family asks you to donate to Sanford Hospice. ℅ Sanford Health Foundation P.O.
