Sheryl Zoller Obituary (1953 - 2023)

Sheryl June Zoller, 70, 160 48th Ave SW, Bismarck, ND 58504, passed away at home on December 3rd, 2023. Her family will be having a private service. A remembrance gathering for friends and family will be at 7 pm on December 5th, 2023, at 917 N. Washington St, Bismarck. Sherry was born June 23, 1953, in Bismarck to Oscar Gehring and Loretta (Bechtle) Gehring. She lived her entire life in Bismarck, ND. Sherry’s unique gift in life was nurturing children. Once her oldest was born, she was a full-time mom and daycare provider, a role in which she excelled. She loved spending time outdoors: at the river, maintaining a huge vegetable and fruit garden, and living in the cozy rural home built by her and her husband in the 1980s. In 2012, she became a grandmother, and this was her most prized role yet. She was very close with her local grandbabies and traveled several times a year to Minneapolis to spend time with her grandchildren there. In the last few years, she enjoyed traveling with family, including trips to the Minnesota Northshore, Cancun, Mexico, and the Oregon Coast. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, William Zoller, children Sara Starr Zoller of Minneapolis, MN, Cortney and Greg Martell of Eden Prairie, MN and Andrew and Selomit Zoller of Bismarck along with her five grandchildren, Lewis and Leddy Martell, and Asher, Josiah and Grace Zoller and her sisters Carma Booth of Roseville, CA and Marion Cobb of Denman Island, BC, Canada. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Loretta Gehring, her stepmother, Elenore (Overmoen) Gehring, and sister DeLila Gehring.
