Steven Allen Schmidt

Steven Allen Schmidt, 54, New Salem, North Dakota, passed away Saturday, October, 26, 2013, at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2013, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Deacon Jerry Volk officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 noon until time of service, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota. Steven was born January 29, 1959, at Mandan, to John and Eleanor (Ressler) Schmidt Jr. He was raised and educated in Mandan. He worked as a welder for a time and lived in Las Vegas from 1994-1999. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and deep sea fishing. He is survived by four daughters, Bobbi Jo, Stephanie, Stacy, and Natalie; two sisters, Stacy (Clarence) Wetzel, New Salem, and Susan Neibauer, Mandan; one brother, Dick (Delaine) Schmidt, Jamestown; eight grandchildren; and fiance, Denise Henke-Hinkel, and her son Andrew. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Michael Schmidt in 1974.
