Troy "Tricky Troy" Ironshield Obituary (1966 - 2015)

Troy "Tricky Troy" Ironshield, 49, Wolf Point, Montana, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, in Billings, Montana. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 13, 2015, in the Porcupine Community Center, Porcupine, North Dakota, with The Rev. Cannon John Floberg officiating. A Wake service begins at 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 12, 2015, in the Porcupine Community Center. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Porcupine. Troy was born May 23, 1966, at Fort Yates, North Dakota, to Gregory Ironshield and Francis Marie Carry Moccasin, and step-father, Julius Azure. He was raised and educated in Porcupine, North Dakota. He went on to numerous schools where he made life-long friends. Troy loved watching his son play basketball. He worked construction and was also an electrician, which he loved. He will always be remembered for his humor, and always left a good impression on everyone who knew him. He is survived by his father, Gregory Iron Shield, Fargo; two daughters, Shalane Iron Shield, Tama, Iowa, and Cassandra Iron Shield, Selfridge; one son, Christian Iron Shield, Bismarck; one sister, Ruth Iron Shield, Wolf Point; three brothers, Alex Azure, Bismarck, Beau Azure, Bismarck, and Ronald (Jan) Iron Shield, Denver, Colorado; one uncle, James Carry Moccasin Sr.; and six grandchildren, Shia, Ramelle, and Kendrick Buffalo, Tama, Iowa, A'Rayena and Airrance McCauley, Selfridge, and London Ironshield, Bismarck, and nieces, Kayla, Courtney, Codi, and Sasha; nephews, Dorrance, Rayce, Myron Jr., Chad, Alex Jr., Isaac, and Isiah. Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Azure; step-father, Julius Azure; nephew, Desmond Clark; brothers, Myron Sr., and Freddy Iron Shield; adopted sister, Iris Abrahamson.
