Valinda Two Horses Obituary (1954

Valinda Mae Two Horses, 66, Mandan, North Dakota, passed away December 22, 2020, at a local hospital in Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 2, 2021, with visitation one hour prior, in the Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Cannon Ball. Valinda was born June 26, 1954, at Fort Yates, North Dakota, to Harding and Irene (Smite) Two Horses. She was raised and educated in in Cannon Ball and attended United Tribes Technical College. Valinda worked as a housekeeper, a dishwasher at United Tribes, but mostly as a CNA in nursing homes. She enjoyed going to powwows and the casino, basketball games, animals, and traveling. She is survived by all her grandchildren; special niece, Stephanie Tikanye; nieces, Venita and Charmaine Abeyta, and Dallette Red Stone; nephews, Darien (Cindy) Red Stone and John Two Horses; and numerous other nieces and nephews; special friend, Randall Bravebull. Valinda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kyle Two Horses; sister, Corstella Ponga; adopted sister, Corrine Stretches; brother, Delbert Two Horses; nephews, Vern Ponga and DJ Ponga; and granddaughter, Rochelle Red Stone.
