Virgil Ray Sample Obituary (1964 - 2016)

Virgil Ray Sample, 52, Mandan, North Dakota, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 11, 2016, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan, with Rev. Dale Nabben officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Virgil was born June 16, 1964, in South Dakota, to Virgel and Deloris (Fuerst) Sample. He was raised and educated in Mandan. On May 21, 1987, he married Kristi Larson in Mandan. Virgil enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his granddaughter. He had been on kidney dialysis for about eight years. He is survived by his wife, Kristi; his mother, Deloris; and one daughter, Mallory Sample, all of Mandan; five sisters, Vonda (Joe) Ogden, New York, Marcy Sample, Bismarck; Julie (Jack) Moravitz, Colorado, Mona (Bernie) Heid, Mandan, and Nancy (Scott) Frieze, Bismarck; and one granddaughter, Hailee Ray. Virgil was preceded in death by his father.
